The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) is a global professional, not-for-profit association for geoscientists and engineers with more than 19,000 members worldwide. It provides a global network of commercial and academic professionals to all members. The association is truly multi-disciplinary and international in form and pursuits.
All members of EAGE are professionally involved in (or studying) geophysics, petroleum exploration, geology, reservoir engineering, mining and mineral exploration, civil engineering, tunneling and environmental matters.
EAGE operates two divisions: the Oil & Gas Geoscience Division and the Near Surface Geoscience Division.
EAGE organizes the following activities for its members:
EAGE’s Head Office is located in the Netherlands and has Regional Offices in Houten (Europe Office), Moscow (Russia & CIS Office), Dubai (Middle East Office), Kuala Lumpur (Asia Pacific Office) and Bogota (Latin America Office).
Is truly unique in the world; no other society has the range in journals and books available that EAGE does. No less than six scientific journals to appeal to all facets of EAGE’s multidisciplinary membership base, as well as over 500 titles, in-house and others, in the EAGE Bookshop. Furthermore, all (extended) abstracts from EAGE events are also available in our online database Earth Doc, as well as (extended) abstracts from many different non-EAGE events, going as far back as 1982.

First Break publishes top-quality submitted and commissioned research articles, together with news, monthly topics, industry features and company profiles.
Near Surface Geophysics is an increasingly important international journal for the publication of research and development in geophysics applied to near surface.
Basin Research is an international journal which aims to publish original, high impact research papers on sedimentary basin systems.
Petroleum Geoscience is a refereed journal for those involved in the science and technology associated with rock-related petroleum disciplines, published by the Geological Society of London and EAGE.
Geophysical Prospecting publishes the best in primary research on the science of exploration geophysics, from the very practical to the theoretical.
Geosciences Aplicadas Latin-Americans s an international journal for the publication of primary research in applied geoscience disciplines.
EAGE regional newsletters provide geoscientists with information about a specific region. The newsletters offer regional industry news, an overview of EAGE activities in the region, interviews with key players, specific geoscientific issues and more. For suggestions on editorial content, please e-mail us at eagepublications@eage.org.
EAGE Regional Newsletters are available in the following regions:

EAGE has been an active player in the Middle East since the opening of our regional office in Dubai (July 2006) and has become an integral part of the local geoscience and engineering community in the region. Over 14 events were organized in seven countries and attended by almost 2,000 oil and gas professionals. The regional newsletter provides an excellent opportunity to inform our members of the growth of activities in this region.

For many years, EAGE has been an important player in this region, starting with the opening of our regional office in Moscow (March 2006). Since then, many events have been organized including the biennial Saint Petersburg conference & exhibition attended by over 900 geoscientists. Local representatives have recently been appointed to support EAGE activities in various countries. The newsletter will devote special attention to emerging new regions such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
